This is a Trout made by my teacher, Marc Petrovic, at The Corning Museum of Glass. He is a glass sculptor who makes both solid and blown creatures ranging from people to fish to small mammals. his work can be found at MarcPetrovic.com. He taught a sculpting class where we focused onĀ natural shapes and objects. He made a large piece of driftwood, many birds, including some very spiffy crows, as well as a pretty sweet octopus. He makes a variety of other types of objects such as bottles, marbles and orbs. He combines these objects into wonderful works of art with beauty and significance. He has taken classes with Lino Tagliapietra, who is basically a glassblowing god. I’m glad a place like corning exists so that people like this can come together and share and expand their creativity. i cant wait to go back.
